CODE OF CONDUCT ONLINE MEETINGS

NUCNet is committed to bringing together members from higher education institutions, plant breeders, food manufacturers, charities, third-sector organisations, policy groups, NGOs, and community organisations to share ideas, knowledge, and perspectives.

We aim to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful environment where open discussion and constructive debate can thrive.

Please note:
NUCNet meetings are intended for discussion and collaboration and must not be used to promote commercial products or services nor must attendees record sessions.

Treat all participants with respect and courtesy.
Value and welcome diverse experiences, perspectives, and expertise.
Respect each individual’s identity, background, and lived experience. 

Be mindful of how your words and actions affect others.
Take responsibility for your behaviour and be open to feedback.
Reflect and respond appropriately if someone raises concerns about the impact of your actions.

Respect the confidentiality of discussions.
Do not share sensitive or confidential information outside the meeting without permission.
Foster a safe environment where participants feel comfortable sharing ideas. 

Do not use meetings to promote commercial services or products.
Contribute in ways that support the collective aims of the network.

The following behaviours will not be tolerated:

  • Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behaviour
  • Disrespectful or aggressive communication
  • Disruption of discussions or preventing others from contributing
  • Misuse of confidential information

If you experience or witness behaviour that does not align with this Code of Conduct, please contact a member of the NUCNet Management Board. All concerns will be treated confidentially and taken seriously.

By attending NUCNet meetings, members agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive community. 

NUCNet may revise this Code of Conduct periodically. Members will be notified of any significant changes. Last updated June 2026.
